Abstract
An access and mobility management function (AMF) receives, from a wireless device, a first registration request message comprising a first zone identity of the wireless device, wherein the first zone identity is based on a first geographical location of the wireless device, and a registration area update type indicating a geographical zone-based tracking type. The AMF sends a paging message for the wireless device based on the geographical zone-based tracking type.

A method, comprising:
- receiving, by an access and mobility management function (AMF) from a wireless device, a first registration request message comprising:
- a first zone identity of the wireless device, wherein the first zone identity is based on a first geographical location of the wireless device;
- and
- a registration area update type indicating a geographical zone-based tracking type;
- and
- sending, by the AMF, a paging message for the wireless device based on the geographical zone-based tracking type.
