Reporting power headroom

A base station for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the base station to:
• transmit, to a User Equipment (“UE”), a configuration for a transmission occasion for autonomous uplink (“AUL”) transmission on an unlicensed serving cell,
• receive, over an unlicensed radio spectrum, a power headroom report (“PHR”) Medium Access Control (“MAC”) Control Element (“CE”) with an AUL transmission;
• and
• identify timing information based on the received PHR MAC CE, wherein the timing information indicates when PHR information was generated.

A processor for wireless communication, the processor comprising:

• at least one controller coupled with at least one memory and configured to cause the processor to:
• transmit, to a User Equipment (“UE”), a configuration for a transmission occasion for autonomous uplink (“AUL”) transmission on an unlicensed serving cell,
• receive, over an unlicensed radio spectrum, a power headroom report (“PHR”) Medium Access Control (“MAC”) Control Element (“CE”) with an AUL transmission;
• and
• identify timing information based on the received PHR MAC CE, wherein the timing information indicates when PHR information was generated.
