Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may select one or more sub-bands, of a plurality of sub-bands in a wideband structure of an unlicensed spectrum, for processing in association with receiving a reference signal. The one or more sub-bands may include at least one valid sub-band of a set of valid sub-bands in which the reference signal is received. The user equipment may process the one or more sub-bands in association with receiving the reference signal. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Claims29
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving a sub-band usage indication, identifying a set of valid sub-bands available in a wideband structure of an unlicensed spectrum, in a channel occupancy time structure information (COT-SI), the COT-SI indicating the set of valid sub-bands as being reserved for a time period corresponding to a channel occupancy time;
- selecting one or more sub-bands, of a plurality of sub-bands in the wideband structure of the unlicensed spectrum and based at least in part on the sub-band usage indication, for processing in association with receiving a reference signal, wherein the one or more sub-bands include at least one valid sub-band of the set of valid sub-bands in which the reference signal is received, wherein the one or more sub-bands are selected based at least in part on a priority rule, and wherein the priority rule indicates that a given sub-band, of the plurality of sub-bands, is selected over another sub-band, of the plurality of sub-bands, based at least in part on the given sub-band including a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and the other sub-band not including the SSB or the PBCH;
- and
- processing the one or more sub-bands in association with receiving the reference signal.
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors individually or collectively configured to:
- receive a sub-band usage indication, identifying a set of valid sub-bands available in a wideband structure of an unlicensed spectrum, in a channel occupancy time structure information (COT-SI), the COT-SI indicating the set of valid sub-bands as being reserved for a time period corresponding to a channel occupancy time;
- select one or more sub-bands, of a plurality of sub-bands in the wideband structure of an unlicensed spectrum and based at least in part on the sub-band usage indication, for processing in association with receiving a reference signal, wherein the one or more sub-bands include at least one valid sub-band of the set of valid sub-bands in which the reference signal is received, wherein the one or more sub-bands are selected based at least in part on a priority rule, and wherein the priority rule indicates that a given sub-band, of the plurality of sub-bands, is selected over another sub-band, of the plurality of sub-bands, based at least in part on the given sub-band including a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and the other sub-band not including the SSB or the PBCH;
- and
- process the one or more sub-bands in association with receiving the reference signal.
