Abstract
A negative electrode active material including a core including silicon, and a coating layer disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the core and including a coating material, wherein the coating material includes at least one selected from the group consisting of LiaVbO2 and MgH2, wherein 0.5<a<1.5 and 0.5<b<1.5 is provided. Also, a negative electrode including the negative electrode active material and a lithium secondary battery including the negative electrode, are provided.
Claims7
A negative electrode active material comprising:
- a core comprising silicon;
- and
- a coating layer disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the core, the coating layer comprising a coating material,
- wherein the coating material comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of LiaVbO2 in an amount of 5 wt % to 20 wt % and MgH2 in an amount of 2 wt % to 4.5 wt %, wherein 0.5<a<1.5 and 0.5<b<1.5.
