Abstract
A life safety device includes a housing, a detector for detecting one or more conditions, and an actuatable mechanism coupled to the housing. The actuatable mechanism includes a light assembly operable in response to detection of at least one of the one or more conditions.
Claims16
A life safety device comprising:
- a housing;
- a detector for detecting one or more conditions, the one or more conditions including at least one smoke and carbon monoxide;
- an actuatable mechanism movably coupled to the housing;
- a light assembly including a first light source operable to transmit light at an exterior of the housing through the actuatable mechanism, the first light source being operable in response to detection of at least one of the one or more conditions;
- and
- a second light source operable to transmit light at an exterior of the housing, the second light source being remote from the first light source, wherein the second light source is operable as an ambient light sensor.
