System to facilitate a correct identification of a service provider

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a system to:

• receive, from a user computing device associated with a user, a request for a transportation service;
• assign a provider computing device associated with a transportation vehicle to fulfill the transportation service;
• determine, based on the request for the transportation service, a route to the user computing device comprising a controlled area;
• transmit, to the provider computing device, a token for the provider computing device to transmit to a security device to cause the security device to provide access to the controlled area;
• determine a visual indicator for the transportation service;
• and
• upon determining that the provider computing device has entered the controlled area and is proximate to the user computing device, transmit a notification to the user computing device and the provider computing device to:
• cause the user computing device to display the visual indicator;
• cause the provider computing device to display the visual indicator;
• and
• cause a vehicle device associated with the transportation vehicle and associated with the provider computing device to display the visual indicator for view outside of the transportation vehicle.

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:
• receive, from a user computing device associated with a user, a request for a transportation service;
• assign a provider computing device associated with a transportation vehicle to fulfill the transportation service;
• determine, based on the request for the transportation service, a route to the user computing device comprising a controlled area;
• transmit, to the provider computing device, a token for the provider computing device to transmit to a security device to cause the security device to provide access to the controlled area;
• determine a visual indicator for the transportation service;
• and
• upon determining that the provider computing device has entered the controlled area and is proximate to the user computing device, transmit a notification to the user computing device and the provider computing device to:
• cause the user computing device to display the visual indicator;
• cause the provider computing device to display the visual indicator;
• and
• cause a vehicle device associated with the transportation vehicle and associated with the provider computing device to display the visual indicator for view outside of the transportation vehicle.
