Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for analyzing, by a computing device, location data associated with a location of the computing device to determine that an image or video captured using a messaging application on the computing device is captured near a food-related venue or event, receiving input related to food associated with the food-related venue or event, sending the image or video and the input related to food associated with the food-related venue or event to a computing system to train a machine learning model for food detection, and updating the messaging application to comprise the trained machine learning model for food detection.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- analyzing, by a computing device, location data associated with a location of the computing device to determine that a first image or video captured using a messaging application on the computing device is captured near a venue or event;
- determining, by the computing device using a machine learning model for object detection, that the first image or video lacks a specific type of object;
- presenting, by the computing device, interactive features to incentivize capture of an image of the specific type of object associated with the venue or event;
- receiving, by the computing device, a second image or video in response to the presented interactive features;
- and
- sending, by the computing device, the second image or video to a computing system to update the machine learning model for object detection.
A computing device comprising:
- one or more hardware processors;
- and
- a computer-readable medium coupled with the one or more hardware processors, the computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon that are executable by the one or more hardware processors to cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:
- analyzing location data associated with a location of the computing device to determine that a first image or video captured using a messaging application on the computing device is captured near a venue or event;
- determining, using a machine learning model for object detection, that the first image or video lacks a specific type of object;
- presenting interactive features to incentivize capture of an image of the specific type of object associated with the venue or event;
- receiving a second image or video in response to the presented interactive features;
- and
- sending the second image or video to a computing system to update the machine learning model for object detection.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon that are executable by at least one processor to cause a computing device to perform operations comprising:
- analyzing location data associated with a location of the computing device to determine that a first image or video captured using a messaging application on the computing device is captured near a venue or event;
- determining, using a machine learning model for object detection, that the first image or video lacks a specific type of object;
- presenting interactive features to incentivize capture of an image of the specific type of object associated with the venue or event;
- receiving a second image or video in response to the presented interactive features;
- and
- sending the second image or video to a computing system to update the machine learning model for object detection.
