Abstract
Disclosed herein is a process that involves retrieving a data model for a data source, establishing at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation that modifies an aspect of the retrieved data model, onboarding underlying data from the data source while applying the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation, defining at least one transformation operation to apply to a portion of the underlying data that has been onboarded, and applying the at least one transformation operation to the portion of the underlying data to thereby assign the data to a semantic network, the semantic network comprising conceptual data components and associative data components.
Claims20
A computing system comprising:
- a network interface;
- at least one processor;
- a non-transitory computer-readable medium;
- and
- program instructions stored on the non-transitory computer-readable medium that are executable by the at least one processor to cause the computing system to perform functions including:
- retrieving a data model for a data source;
- establishing at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation that modifies an aspect of the retrieved data model;
- establishing, based on the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation, at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation that modifies a second aspect of the retrieved data model;
- onboarding underlying data from the data source while applying the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation and the established at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation, so as to form modified underlying data;
- defining at least one transformation operation to apply to a portion of the modified underlying data that has been onboarded;
- and
- applying the at least one transformation operation to the portion of the modified underlying data to thereby assign the data to a semantic network, the semantic network comprising conceptual data components and associative data components.
A method comprising:
- retrieving a data model for a data source;
- establishing at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation that modifies an aspect of the retrieved data model;
- establishing, based on the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation, at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation that modifies a second aspect of the retrieved data model;
- onboarding underlying data from the data source while applying the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation and the established at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation, so as to form modified underlying data;
- defining at least one transformation operation to apply to a portion of the modified underlying data that has been onboarded;
- and
- applying the at least one transformation operation to the portion of the modified underlying data to thereby assign the data to a semantic network, the semantic network comprising conceptual data components and associative data components.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having program instructions stored thereon that are executable to cause a computing system to:
- retrieve a data model for a data source;
- establish at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation that modifies an aspect of the retrieved data model;
- establish, based on the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation, at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation that modifies a second aspect of the retrieved data model;
- onboard underlying data from the data source while applying the established at least one filter operation or at least one clean operation and the established at least one second filter operation or at least one second clean operation, so as to form modified underlying data;
- define at least one transformation operation to apply to a portion of the modified underlying data that has been onboarded;
- and
- apply the at least one transformation operation to the portion of the modified underlying data to thereby assign the data to a semantic network, the semantic network comprising conceptual data components and associative data components.
