Abstract
The method of manufacturing a light emitting module includes: providing a light guiding plate having a first main surface serving as a light emitting surface; and a second main surface positioned opposite to the first main surface and provided with a recess; providing a light adjustment portion containing a fluorescent material; providing a light emitting element unit in which a light emitting element comprising an electrode is integrally bonded to the light adjustment portion; bonding the light adjustment portion of the light emitting element unit to the recess; and forming wiring on the electrode of the light emitting element.
Claims21
A light emitting module comprising:
- a plurality of light emitting element units each comprising
- a light emitting element having a light emission surface, an electrode-formed surface opposite to the light emission surface and a side surface between the light emission surface and the electrode-formed surface, the electrode-formed surface comprising a pair of electrodes,
- a wavelength conversion portion provided at least on the light emission surface of the light emitting element, and
- a first resin at least covering the electrode-formed surface of the light emitting element;
- a light-transmissive light guiding plate having
- a first main surface serving as a light emitting surface from which light exits and
- a second main surface opposite to the first main surface,
- wherein the second main surface of the light-transmissive light guiding plate defines openings in which the light emitting element units are respectively disposed therein, and
- wherein the wavelength conversion portion is spaced apart from the light-transmissive light guiding plate.
A light emitting module comprising:
- a plurality of light emitting element units each comprising
- a light emitting element having a light emission surface and an electrode-formed surface opposite to the light emission surface,
- a light-transmissive light guiding plate having
- a first main surface serving as a light emitting surface from which light exits and
- a second main surface opposite to the first main surface,
- wherein the second main surface of the light-transmissive light guiding plate defines
- openings in which the light emitting element units are respectively disposed therein, and
- a plurality of grooves provided between adjacent openings, each groove being filled with a third resin, and
- wherein a distance between a side surface of one of openings and an adjacent side surface of an adjacent one of the openings is larger than a width of a single one of the openings.
