Claims20
A method for treating resorptive bone disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a peptide consisting essentially of the amino acid sequence with at least 90% identity to the amino acid sequence of KEFLHPSKVDLPR (SEQ ID NO:1) or at least 95% identity to the amino acid sequence of EGKLSSNDTEGGLCKEFLHPSKVDLPR (SEQ ID NO:
- 2).
The method of 1, wherein the peptide inhibits bone resorption.
A method for inhibiting osteoclast activity comprising contacting one or more osteoclasts with a peptide consisting essentially of the amino acid sequence with at least 90% identity to the amino acid sequence of KEFLHPSKVDLPR (SEQ ID NO:1) or at least 95% identity to the amino acid sequence of EGKLSSNDTEGGLCKEFLHPSKVDLPR (SEQ ID NO:
- 2).
