Fractional non-fungible token for game related digital assets

A method for fractionalizing non-fungible token (NFT) shares for digital game assets, comprising:

• generating a digital asset depicting a gaming event associated with a game, the gaming event is identified to have significance in a context of the game over other gaming events;
• obtaining a non-fungible token (NFT) for the digital asset, the NFT being stored in a block chain with a reference to a storage location of said digital asset, the obtaining of the NFT includes instructions for fractionalizing said NFT, the fractionalizing creating a set of shares of the NFT;
• assigning a share the NFT to a user of an online gaming system, the share being exchangeable among a community of users;
• tracking use of each of the set of shares of the NFT;
• and
• applying a value indicator to each share by the online gaming system, the value indicator being indicative of a level of use of the share within the online gaming system, the value indicator is a visible notifier that is associated with a profile of the user of the online gaming system and provides contextual relation to the game event that is identified to have significance.
