An aerosol delivery device comprising:

• a control body having a housing;
• a resonant transmitter located in the control body;
• a control component configured to drive the resonant transmitter;
• and
• at least one substrate tablet receivable in the device,
• wherein the substrate tablet comprises a granular substrate material and a susceptor component, wherein the substrate material and the susceptor component are formed together, wherein the susceptor component is configured to be heated by the resonant transmitter,
• wherein the substrate tablet defines a peripheral surface, wherein a plurality of passages are defined along the peripheral surface, wherein the substrate tablet defines a first end surface and a second end surface, and wherein the plurality of passages extend from the first end surface to the second end surface.
