Abstract
A computer implemented method comprises receiving a model of a tissue region, steering a distal end of a catheter within a body to a first area of a tissue region, and obtaining a first image from the distal end of the catheter of the first area of the tissue region. The method further comprises mapping the first image of the first area of the tissue region to the model of the tissue region and displaying the first image of the first area of the tissue region on the model of the tissue region.
Claims20
A computer implemented method comprising:
- receiving a model of a tissue region;
- steering a distal end of a catheter within a body to a first area of a tissue region;
- obtaining a first image from the distal end of the catheter of the first area of the tissue region;
- mapping the first image of the first area of the tissue region to the model of the tissue region;
- displaying the first image of the first area of the tissue region on the model of the tissue region by superimposing the first image onto a surface of the model while the distal end of the catheter is at the first area;
- obtaining a second image from the distal end of the catheter of a second area of the tissue region;
- mapping the second image of the second area of the tissue region to the model of the tissue region;
- and
- displaying the second image of the second area of the tissue region on the model of the tissue region by superimposing the second image onto the surface of the model while the distal end of the catheter is at the second area.
