Abstract
An information processing apparatus is connected to a peripheral apparatus that includes sound inputting means for outputting a sound signal representative of sound of surroundings. The information processing apparatus performs control such that, in a case where sound input is required in processing of an application determined in advance, in a state in which a sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is cut off, the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is accepted and the sound signal is used only in the processing of the application determined in advance.
Claims7
An information processing apparatus connected to a peripheral apparatus that includes sound inputting means for outputting a sound signal representative of sound of surroundings, comprising:
- an accepting unit for accepting a sound signal outputted from the peripheral apparatus;
- and
- a mute controlling unit for cutting off the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus, wherein,
- in a case where sound input is required in processing of an application determined in advance, in a state in which a sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is cut off by the mute controlling unit, control is performed such that the mute controlling unit accepts the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus and the sound signal is used only in the processing of the application determined in advance.
An information processing system including a peripheral apparatus and an information processing apparatus, wherein
- the peripheral apparatus includes a sound inputting unit for outputting a sound signal representative of sound of surroundings,
- the information processing apparatus includes
- and accepting unit for accepting a sound signal outputted from the peripheral apparatus, and
- a mute controlling unit for cutting off the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus, and,
- in a case where sound input is required in processing of an application determined in advance, in a state in which a sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is cut off by the mute controlling unit, control is performed such that the mute controlling means unit accepts the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus and the sound signal is used only in the processing of the application determined in advance.
A control method for an information processing apparatus connected to a peripheral apparatus that includes a sound inputting unit for outputting a sound signal representative of sound of surroundings, comprising:
- accepting a sound signal outputted from the peripheral apparatus;
- cutting off the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus;
- and
- performing control such that, in a case where sound input is required in processing of an application determined in advance, in a state in which a sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is cut off by the cutting off, the cutting off includes accepting the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus and the sound signal is used only in the processing of the application determined in advance.
A non-transitory, computer readable storage medium containing a computer program, which when executed by an information processing apparatus that is connected to a peripheral apparatus including a sound inputting unit for outputting a sound signal representative of sound of surroundings, causes the information processing apparatus to carry out actions, comprising:
- accepting a sound signal outputted from the peripheral apparatus;
- cutting off the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus;
- and
- performing control such that, in a case where sound input is required in processing of an application determined in advance, in a state in which a sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus is cut off by the cutting off, the cutting off includes accepting the sound signal accepted from the peripheral apparatus and the sound signal is used only in the processing of the application determined in advance.
