Tamper evident seal for a vial cover

A tamper evident seal structure for a vial cover comprising:

• a housing including a sidewall disposed in surrounding relation to an interior of said housing,
• said sidewall terminating in an open-end and a closed-end, said closed end oppositely disposed to said open-end,
• said open end dimensioned and configured to receive a vial and a vial cover attached to the vial there through into an interior of said housing,
• a retainer including a plurality of retainer segments each fixedly disposed within said housing and collectively structured for retaining engagement with the vial cover,
• a pressure member connected in depending relation to an interior surface of said closed-end and including a distal end extending into said interior of said housing,
• said pressure member and said plurality of retainer segments cooperatively disposed in aligned, substantially coplanar relation to one another and concurrently disposed in clamping engagement with the vial cover, and
• said clamping engagement comprising said distal end disposed in pressure exerting engagement with the vial cover concurrent to said retaining engagement of said plurality of retainer segments with the vial cover.
