Abstract
Method and composition for switchable panels are disclosed. Switchable films are placed between glass and liquid resin is injected between the glass and cured. The panels may be used for a wide variety of applications.
Claims12
A method for making a liquid resin laminated switchable panel, comprising:
- placing a switchable film selected from the group consisting of (i) a liquid crystal micro-droplet (LCMD) film, (ii) a suspended particle display (SPD) film, (iii) an electrochromic film, and (iv) a thermochromic film in a space between two layers of glass;
- placing a liquid resin in the space between the two layers of glass;
- and
- curing the liquid resin to create a bonded connection between the switchable film selected from the group consisting of (i) the LCMD film, (ii) the SPD film, (iii) the electrochromic film, and (iv) the thermochromic film, and at least one of the layers of glass to form the liquid resin laminated switchable panel.
