Arcade machine strategy guides

A method implemented by at least one computing device, the method comprising:

• receiving a hash that includes information describing a state achieved for each of a plurality of modes during a gameplay session at an arcade machine and a score resulting from the gameplay session;
• prioritizing the plurality of modes based on at least one of the state achieved for each of the plurality of modes during the gameplay session or user profile data for a user associated with the gameplay session;
• selecting a subset of the prioritized plurality of modes based on one or more of a display resolution or a network bandwidth of the arcade machine;
• generating a strategy guide for the arcade machine using the subset of the prioritized plurality of modes;
• and
• outputting the strategy guide.

A system comprising:

• a camera;
• one or more processors;
• and
• a computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that are executable by the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
• capturing an image of a hash with the camera, the hash including information describing a state achieved for each of a plurality of modes during a gameplay session at an arcade machine and a score resulting from the gameplay session;
• transmitting the information included in the hash to a computing device;
• receiving, from the computing device, a strategy guide for the arcade machine that describes the score resulting from the gameplay session and at least one recommendation for improving the score resulting from the gameplay session;
• and
• outputting a display of the strategy guide.
