Abstract
In a rotating electrical machine, an armature includes a filmy sheet member secured to one of an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of a base member to cover one of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the base member. A sheet member is made of thermoplastic resin as non-magnetic material, and has a field-member side peripheral surface. Each conductive member has at least part embedded in the sheet member in a radial direction of the rotating electrical machine to thereby arrange a base-member side peripheral surface to be radially closer to the base member than the field-generator side peripheral surface of the sheet member is.
Claims11
A rotating electrical machine comprising:
- a field generator that includes a magnet unit, the magnet unit having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotating electrical machine;
- and
- an armature that includes a multi-phase armature winding and a base member to which the multi-phase armature winding is secured, the base member being made of magnetic material, and having:
- a hollow cylindrical or a cylindrical shape;
- an inner peripheral surface;
- and
- an outer peripheral surface,
- one of the field generator and the armature serving as a rotor of the rotating electrical machine,
- the multi-phase armature winding comprising a plurality of conductive members that face the field generator and are arrayed at given intervals away from each other in the circumferential direction,
- each of the conductive members having a base-member side peripheral surface,
- the armature further comprising a filmy sheet member arranged to cover one of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the base member,
- the filmy sheet member being made of thermoplastic resin as non-magnetic material, and having a field-member side peripheral surface,
- each of the conductive members having at least part embedded in the filmy sheet member in a radial direction of the rotating electrical machine to thereby arrange the base-member side peripheral surface to be radially closer to the base member than the field-generator side peripheral surface of the filmy sheet member is.
A method of manufacturing a rotating electrical machine that comprises:
- a field generator that includes a magnet unit, the magnet unit having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotating electrical machine;
- and
- an armature that includes a multi-phase armature winding and a base member to which the multi-phase armature winding is secured, the base member being made of magnetic material, and having:
- a hollow cylindrical or a cylindrical shape;
- an inner peripheral surface;
- and
- an outer peripheral surface,
- one of the field generator and the armature serving as a rotor of the rotating electrical machine,
- the multi-phase armature winding comprising a plurality of conductive members that face the field generator and are arrayed at given intervals away from each other in the circumferential direction,
- the method comprising:
- a first step of covering one of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the base member with a filmy sheet member made of thermoplastic resin as non-magnetic material;
- and
- a second step of embedding at least a radial part of each of the conductive members into the filmy sheet member to thereby secure the corresponding one of the conductive members to the base member via the filmy sheet member.
A method of manufacturing a rotating electrical machine that comprises:
- a field generator that includes a magnet unit, the magnet unit having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotating electrical machine;
- and
- an armature that includes a multi-phase armature winding and a base member to which the multi-phase armature winding is secured,
- one of the field generator and the armature serving as a rotor of the rotating electrical machine,
- the multi-phase armature winding comprising a plurality of conductive members that face the field generator and are arrayed at given intervals away from each other in the circumferential direction,
- the method comprising:
- a first step of covering a surface of a flat plate made of magnetic material with a filmy sheet member made of thermoplastic resin as non-magnetic material;
- a second step of embedding at least a part of each of the conductive members into the filmy sheet member to thereby secure the corresponding one of the conductive members to the flat plate via the filmy sheet member;
- and
- a third step of rolling the flat plate with the conductive members being secured thereto via the filmy sheet member to thereby form the base member having a hollow cylindrical shape.
