Abstract
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for exposing data processing unit (DPU) traffic in a smartswitch are disclosed. One example method occurs at a smartswitch controller implemented using at least one processor, the method comprising: receiving connection information for communicating with an in-line traffic processing agent; generating, using the connection information, one or more switching rules for causing traffic associated with a target DPU of a smartswitch to be directed to the in-line traffic processing agent; and providing the one or more switching rules to the smartswitch or another entity.
Claims20
A method for exposing data processing unit (DPU) traffic in a smartswitch, the method comprising:
- at a smartswitch controller implemented using at least one processor:
- receiving connection information for communicating with an in-line traffic processing agent;
- generating, using the connection information, one or more switching rules for causing traffic associated with a target data processing unit (DPU) of a smartswitch to be directed to the in-line traffic processing agent;
- and
- providing the one or more switching rules to the smartswitch or another entity.
A system for exposing data processing unit (DPU) traffic in a smartswitch, the system comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory;
- and
- a smartswitch controller implemented using the at least one processor and the memory, the smartswitch controller configured for:
- receiving connection information for communicating with an in-line traffic processing agent;
- generating, using the connection information, one or more switching rules for causing traffic associated with a target data processing unit (DPU) of a smartswitch to be directed to the in-line traffic processing agent;
- and
- providing the one or more switching rules to the smartswitch or another entity.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon executable instructions embodied in the non-transitory computer readable medium that when executed by at least one processor of a computing device cause the computing device to perform steps comprising:
- receiving connection information for communicating with an in-line traffic processing agent;
- generating, using the connection information, one or more switching rules for causing traffic associated with a target data processing unit (DPU) of a smartswitch to be directed to the in-line traffic processing agent;
- and
- providing the one or more switching rules to the smartswitch or another entity.
