Claims23
A tub for a humidifier comprising:
- a container made of a first material,
- a heating element, and
- a lining comprising a second material different from the first material, wherein the second material is elastic to, in use, accommodate expansion and contraction of the heating element,
- wherein the container comprises a base and a side wall defining a reservoir for a supply of liquid to be evaporated, the heating element being provided only on an inner surface of the base of the container, the lining covering the heating element along the base of the container and also covering an entire inner surface of the side wall of the container, and
- wherein the lining is configured to be disposed between the heating element and the supply of liquid, an outer surface of the lining being fixedly adhered directly to 1) the inner surface of the side wall of the container, and 2) the heating element to electrically insulate the supply of liquid from the heating element.
