Abstract
A shock tube package system and a method of deploying a shock tube package system is provided. The system includes a coreless bundle of shock tubing. The system further includes an outer covering disposed about the periphery of the bundle of shock tubing. In an embodiment, the outer covering is made from a flexible or elastic material such as a textile.
Claims19
A method for assembling a shock tube system comprising:
- expanding a neck portion of an outer covering from a first size to a second size;
- inserting a coreless bundle of shock tubing though the neck portion and into the outer covering;
- returning the neck portion to the first size to secure the coreless bundle of shock tubing within the outer covering;
- and
- forming a compression fit with the outer covering over the coreless bundle of shock tubing, the outer covering being disposed about the periphery of the bundle of shock tubing, the outer covering being made from a flexible or elastic material.
