Abstract
Method and apparatus for improving the performance, response, and durability of an electro-hydraulic active suspension system. The noise caused by hydraulic flow ripple is reduced and system response is improved.
Claims15
A method of noise mitigation for an active suspension system of a vehicle, the method comprising:
- (a) obtaining, via one or more sensors on the vehicle, noise data or vibration data;
- (b) obtaining operating parameters of a hydraulic motor-pump of the active suspension system;
- (c) determining, based on the operating parameters of the hydraulic motor-pump and at least one of the noise data or vibration data, a noise-cancelling audible sound to be provided by a speaker;
- and
- (d) operating the speaker to produce the noise-cancelling audible sound.

A noise mitigation system for a vehicle, the system comprising:
- an active suspension system comprising a hydraulic motor-pump, the hydraulic motor pump having one or more operating parameters;
- one or more sensors configured to sense at least one of noise or vibration;
- a speaker disposed in the vehicle;
- and
- a controller configured to operate the speaker based on the one or more operating parameters of the hydraulic motor pump.
