Abstract
The present invention relates to a new class of non-fused thiophene derivatives and their uses for treating diseases such as infection, cancer, metabolic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, iron storage disorders and inflammatory disorders.

A compound of formula (I):
- wherein:
- R1 represents:
- a 3-10 membered saturated ring selected from the group consisting a cycloalkyl, and a bridged carbocyclyl, wherein said 3-10 membered ring is optionally substituted by at least one radical selected from the group consisting of:
- a halogen, and
- a (C1-C6)alkyl,
- R2 represents:
- a hydrogen,
- a (C1-C6)alkyl, or
- a halogen,
- R3 represents:
- a phenyl optionally substituted by at least one radical selected from the group consisting of:
- a morpholinyl,
- a —NH-tetrahydropyranyl,
- a —NH—(C1-C6)alkyl optionally substituted by a tetrahydropyranyl or
- a (C1-C6)alkyloxy,
- an azetidinyl optionally substituted by a (C1-C6)alkyloxy
- a (C1-C6)alkyl optionally substituted by at least one halogen,
- a halogen, and
- a (C1-C6)alkyloxy optionally substituted by at least one halogen
- R4 represents —COOH;
- and
- R5 represents a hydrogen;
- or a stereoisomer or a pharmaceutical salt thereof.
