Abstract
A high altitude balloon. A plurality of layers of coextruded extrudate are formed in a seamless sheet in a shape that defines a balloon envelope. Delaminator layers may be interposed between two or more of the layers of extrudate.
Claims20
A high altitude balloon comprising a plurality of layers of extrudate coextruded to form a seamless sheet of extrudate in a shape defining a first balloon envelope, wherein the balloon further comprises a delaminator layer disposed between two of the layers of extrudate, wherein the delaminator layer allows the two layers of extrudate to delaminate from each other.
A high altitude balloon comprising a plurality of layers of extrudate coextruded to form a sheet of extrudate in a shape defining a first balloon envelope, the sheet of extrudate comprising micro seams, wherein the balloon further comprises a delaminator layer disposed between two of the layers of extrudate, wherein the delaminator layer allows the two layers of extrudate to delaminate from each other.
A high altitude balloon comprising a plurality of layers of coextruded extrudate and a delaminator layer interposed between a portion of one of the layers of extrudate and a portion of another of the layers of extrudate, wherein the delaminator layer allows the layers of extrudate to delaminate from each other.
