Abstract
A system and method for storing information in a quantum computer using a quantum storage ring. The method comprises cooling ions in the quantum storage ring to a low temperature; and binding the ions into a lattice structure, forming an ion Coulomb crystal.
Claims7
A method of storing information in a quantum computer using a quantum storage ring, the method comprising:
- processing ions in a quantum storage ring at a process rate of about 1 million qubits/sec;
- and
- binding the ions into a structure wherein Coulomb forces of the ions are balanced against external forces.
A method of storing information in a quantum computer having one or more particle beams using a quantum storage ring, the method comprising:
- cooling the one or more particle beams into a crystalline structure;
- creating a sequence of spin states;
- and
- measuring at least one of the spin states.
