Aerosol delivery device with protective sleeve

An aerosol delivery device comprising:

• a removable cartridge comprising a heat source and a substrate portion that includes a substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition configured to form an aerosol upon application of heat thereto;
• and
• a holder comprising:
• a main body defining a proximal end and a distal end and further including a receiving chamber configured to receive at least a portion of the removable substrate cartridge, and an aerosol passageway that extends from the receiving chamber through at least a portion of the main body;
• and
• an outer sleeve configured to slide relative to the main body, the outer sleeve also defining a proximal end and a distal end,
• wherein the outer sleeve is configured to slide to a use position, in which the proximal end of the main body extends beyond the proximal end of the outer sleeve and the distal end of the outer sleeve substantially covers the heat source of an inserted removable substrate cartridge, and a storage position, in which the distal end of the main body extends beyond the distal end of the outer sleeve and the proximal end of the outer sleeve substantially covers the proximal end of the main body.
