Abstract

A method performed by a system of one or more computers for operating a virtual entry system for a building. The method includes receiving, from a mobile device, a selection associated with information related to a navigation interface. The method includes sending, to the mobile device in response to receiving the selection, information related to a communication interface, the information related to the communication interface including a meeting code. The method includes receiving, from the mobile device, a first request to initiate a communication session between the mobile device and an electronic device, the first request including the meeting code. The method includes initiating, based on the first request, a communication session between the mobile device and the electronic device. The method includes receiving a second request to unlock a door of the building in response to the communication session.

Dependent claims

A method comprising:

communicating, via a first network interface controller (NIC) configured to be communicatively coupled to an electronic lock, with a first dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server to receive a first DHCP address;
establishing a virtual private network (VPN) connection for the electronic lock to communicate with a remote server;
and
receiving, via a second NIC, a second DHCP address from a second DHCP server running on a microcontroller device;
transmitting the second DHCP address to the electronic lock;
transmitting, from an entry subsystem, a navigation interface to a first mobile device;
receiving user input on the navigation interface from a first user of the first mobile device;
device;
establishing, based on the user input, a communication session between a second mobile device and the first mobile device;
and
receiving, based on the communication session, a request to unlock a lockable structure via the electronic lock, wherein the second mobile device is owned by a second user associated with the lockable structure.
