Abstract
A data sending method includes receiving, by a forwarding device using a first flexible Ethernet (FlexE) group and in multiple timeslots included in a first timeslot set, multiple first encoded data blocks from a physical coding sublayer (PCS), determining, by the forwarding device according to the timeslots included in the first timeslot set and the first FlexE group, a second FlexE group and multiple timeslots included in a second timeslot set, and sending, by the forwarding device, the first encoded data blocks using the second FlexE group and in the timeslots included in the second timeslot set.

A data transmitting method, implemented by a forwarding apparatus, comprising:
- receiving, from a sending device in a first timeslot occupied by a Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) client, a first encoded data block of the FlexE client using a first FlexE group, wherein the first FlexE group comprises at least one first send physical layers (PHYs) and at least one first receive PHYs, wherein the at least one first send PHYs is bonded to the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one first receive PHYs, and wherein the forwarding apparatus is a next-hop device of the sending device;
- mapping the first encoded data block received in the first timeslot into a second timeslot occupied by the FlexE client in a second FlexE group;
- and
- sending, to a receiving device in the second timeslot and without performing layer 2 processing and layer 3 processing on the FlexE client between receiving the first encoded data block and sending the first encoded data block, the first encoded data block using the second FlexE group,
- wherein the second FlexE group comprises at least one second send PHYs and at least one second receive PHYs,
- wherein the at least one second send PHYs is bonded to the at least one second receive PHYs in the second FlexE group,
- wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one second send PHYs in the second FlexE group, and
- wherein the receiving device is a next-hop device of the forwarding apparatus.
A forwarding apparatus, comprising:
- a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium configured to store instructions;
- a communication interface;
- a processor coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and the communication interface and configured to execute the instructions to:
- receive, from a sending device in a first timeslot occupied by a Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) client, a first encoded data block of the FlexE client using a first FlexE group, wherein the first FlexE group comprises at least one first send physical layers (PHYs) and at least one first receive PHYs, wherein the at least one first send PHYs is bonded to the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, and wherein the forwarding apparatus is a next-hop device of the sending device;
- map the first encoded data block received in the first timeslot into a second timeslot occupied by the FlexE client in a second FlexE group;
- and
- send, to a receiving device in the second timeslot and without performing layer 2 processing and layer 3 processing on the FlexE client between receiving the first encoded data block and sending the first encoded data block, the first encoded data block using the second FlexE group,
- wherein the second FlexE group comprises at least one second send PHYs and at least one second receive PHYs,
- wherein the at least one second send PHYs is bonded to the at least one second receive PHYs in the second FlexE group,
- wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one second send PHYs in the second FlexE group, and
- wherein the receiving device is a next-hop device of the forwarding apparatus.
A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium that, when executed by a processor, cause a forwarding apparatus to:
- receive, from a sending device in a first timeslot occupied by a Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) client, a first encoded data block of the FlexE client using a first FlexE group, wherein the first FlexE group comprises at least one first send physical layers (PHYs) and at least one first receive PHYs, wherein the at least one first send PHYs is bonded to the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, and wherein the forwarding apparatus is a next-hop device of the sending device;
- map the first encoded data block received in the first timeslot into a second timeslot occupied by the FlexE client in a second FlexE group;
- and
- send, to a receiving device in the second timeslot and without performing layer 2 processing and layer 3 processing on the FlexE client between receiving the first encoded data block and sending the first encoded data block, the first encoded data block using the second FlexE group,
- wherein the second FlexE group comprises at least one second send PHYs and at least one second receive PHYs,
- wherein the at least one second send PHYs is bonded to the at least one second receive PHYs in the second FlexE group,
- wherein the forwarding apparatus comprises the at least one second send PHYs in the second FlexE group, and
- wherein the receiving device is a next-hop device of the forwarding apparatus.
A system comprising:
- a sending apparatus configured to send, in a first timeslot, a first encoded data block of a Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) client using a first FlexE group, wherein the first FlexE group comprises at least one first send physical layers (PHYs) and at least one first receive PHYs, and wherein the at least one first send PHYs is bonded to the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group;
- a forwarding apparatus comprising the at least one first receive PHYs in the first FlexE group, wherein the forwarding apparatus is a next-hop device of the sending apparatus, and wherein the forwarding apparatus further comprises computer-executable instructions stored on a non-transitory computer-readable medium that, when executed by a processor, cause the forwarding apparatus to:
- receive, from the sending apparatus in the first timeslot occupied by the FlexE client, the first encoded data block using the first FlexE group;
- map the first encoded data block received in the first timeslot into a second timeslot occupied by the FlexE client in a second FlexE group;
