Abstract

System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

Dependent claims

A method for capturing and displaying video and for identifying and marking of an element, for use with a cellular network, and for use with a handheld casing that comprises opposed first and second exterior surfaces and that encloses a light source, first and second video cameras, an image processor, a display, a rechargeable battery, a cellular antenna, and a cellular transmitter, the method comprising:

illuminating, by the light source that is powered by the battery;
capturing, via a first optical lens that is attached to the first surface, by the first video camera that is powered by the battery, a first video data;
capturing, via a second optical lens that is attached to the second surface, by the second video camera that is powered by the battery, a second video data;
identifying, by the image processor that is powered by the battery, the element in the first video data;
displaying, by the display that comprises having a flat screen and is powered by the battery, the captured first and second video data;
displaying, by the display, a marking of the identified element;
coupling, by the cellular antenna, to the cellular network;
and
transmitting, to the cellular network by the cellular transmitter that is powered by the battery and is coupled between the cellular antenna and the video cameras, the captured first and second captured video data.
