Vehicle monitoring

A system comprising one or more computers and one or more storage devices on which are stored instructions that are operable, when executed by the one or more computers, to cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:

• obtaining, at a first data transfer rate and from a vehicle automation hub configured to communicate with a computer system of a vehicle associated with a property when the vehicle is in a normal use mode, vehicle data that indicates an attribute of the vehicle;
• obtaining sensor data captured by one or more sensors at the property;
• determining, based on the vehicle data, a first condition of the vehicle at a first time;
• determining, using the sensor data, that an event related to the property likely occurred;
• accessing a set of rules including a first rule indicating a vehicle condition, an event condition related to a property, a timeframe of applicability, and one or more actions, wherein the one or more actions include transmitting, from the vehicle automation hub and to a monitoring system that is configured to monitor the property, additional vehicle data at a second data transfer rate, the second data transfer rate being higher than the first data transfer rate, wherein the set of rules includes rules for monitoring a plurality of vehicles including the vehicle, each vehicle being associated with one or more rules, included in the set of rules, that are for that vehicle, each rule being applicable to one or more of the plurality of vehicles, and at least a first vehicle associated with a different set of rules than a second vehicle;
• selecting, from the set of rules and using data for the event related to the property that likely occurred and at least some of the vehicle data, the first rule in response to determining that i) the first rule is included in one or more rules for the vehicle ii) the first condition of the vehicle satisfies the vehicle condition indicated by the first rule, iii) the event that likely occurred satisfies the event condition related to the property, and iv) that the first time satisfies the timeframe of applicability indicated by the first rule;
• and
• transmitting, to the vehicle automation hub, an instruction to cause the vehicle automation hub to adjust a configuration of one or more components of the vehicle using the first rule.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing software comprising instructions executable by one or more computers which, upon such execution, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:

• obtaining, at a first data transfer rate and by a monitoring system that is configured to monitor a property and from a vehicle automation hub configured to communicate with a computer system of a vehicle associated with the property when the vehicle is in a normal use mode, vehicle data that indicates an attribute of the vehicle;
• obtaining sensor data captured by one or more sensors at the property;
• determining, based on the vehicle data, a first condition of the vehicle at a first time;
• determining, using the sensor data, that an event related to the property likely occurred;
• accessing a set of rules including a first rule indicating a vehicle condition, an event condition related to a property, a timeframe of applicability, and one or more actions, wherein the one or more actions include transmitting, from the vehicle automation hub and to the monitoring system, additional vehicle data at a second data transfer rate, the second data transfer rate being higher than the first data transfer rate, wherein the set of rules includes rules for monitoring a plurality of vehicles including the vehicle, each vehicle being associated with one or more rules, included in the set of rules, that are for that vehicle, each rule being applicable to one or more of the plurality of vehicles, and at least a first vehicle associated with a different set of rules than a second vehicle;
• selecting, from the set of rules and using data for the event related to the property that likely occurred and at least some of the vehicle data, the first rule in response to determining that i) the first rule is included in one or more rules for the vehicle ii) the first condition of the vehicle satisfies the vehicle condition indicated by the first rule, iii) the event that likely occurred satisfies the event condition related to the property, and iv) that the first time satisfies the timeframe of applicability indicated by the first rule;
• and
• transmitting, to the vehicle automation hub, an instruction to cause the vehicle automation hub to adjust a configuration of one or more components of the vehicle using the first rule.
