Abstract
A method, an apparatus, a base station, a user equipment, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The base station may configure resource allocation for wakeup signaling based at least in part on one or more resource patterns corresponding to different user equipment groups and/or antenna port configurations. The user equipment may receive a wakeup signal based at least in part on the resource allocation, detect the wakeup signal based at least in part on a preamble of the wakeup signal, and receive a subsequent communication based at least in part on the wakeup signal. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Claims34
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- determining the starting subframe associated with wakeup signal transmission, wherein the starting subframe is determined based at least in part on:
- a starting subframe of a paging occasion,
- a maximum duration of the wakeup signal transmission, and
- a gap between the paging occasion and an end of the maximum duration of the wakeup signal transmissions;
- scanning for a wakeup signal on a plurality of resources including the starting subframe;
- receiving the wakeup signal on the starting subframe;
- and
- identifying the wakeup signal as associated with the UE based at least in part on a cell identifier associated with the UE, wherein the wakeup signal is based, at least in part, on the cell identifier.
A method of wireless communication performed by a base station, comprising:
- transmitting a wakeup signal on a plurality of resources, the plurality of resource including a starting subframe for transmission of the wakeup signal;
- transmitting a communication to a user equipment (UE) during a paging occasion after transmission of the wakeup signal;
- wherein the starting subframe is determined based at least in part on:
- a starting subframe of the paging occasion,
- a maximum duration of the wakeup signal, and
- a gap between the paging occasion and an end of the maximum duration of the wakeup signal.
A user equipment for wireless communication, comprising:
- memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- determine the starting subframe associated with wakeup signal transmission, wherein the starting subframe is determined based at least in part on:
- a starting subframe of a paging occasion,
- a maximum duration of the wakeup signal transmission, and
- a gap between the paging occasion and an end of the maximum duration of the wakeup signal transmissions;
- scan for a wakeup signal on a plurality of resources including the starting subframe;
- receive the wakeup signal on the starting subframe;
- and
- identify the wakeup signal as associated with the UE based at least in part on a cell identifier associated with the UE, wherein the wakeup signal is based, at least in part, on the cell identifier.
A base station for wireless communication, comprising:
- memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to:
- transmit a wakeup signal on a plurality of resources, the plurality of resource including a starting subframe for transmission of the wakeup signal;
- transmit a communication to a user equipment (UE) during a paging occasion after transmission of the wakeup signal;
- wherein the starting subframe is based at least in part on:
- a starting subframe of the paging occasion,
- a maximum duration of the wakeup signal, and
- a gap between the paging occasion and an end of the maximum duration of the wakeup signal.
