Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication that the UE supports communications having a first transport block applied to demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) and a second transport block applied to data symbols of a data channel. The UE may transmit an uplink communication or receiving a downlink communication having the first transport block applied to the DMRSs and the second transport block applied to the data symbols of the data channel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to cause the UE to:
- transmit an indication that the UE supports communications having a first transport block applied to data-aided demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in which resources allocated for the data-aided DMRSs included modulated data and a second transport block applied to data symbols of a data channel;
- and
- transmit an uplink communication or receive a downlink communication having the first transport block applied to the data-aided DMRSs and the second transport block applied to the data symbols of the data channel.
A base station for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to cause the base station to:
- receive an indication that a user equipment (UE) supports communications having a first transport block applied to data-aided demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in which resources allocated for the data-aided DMRSs included modulated data and a second transport block applied to data symbols of a data channel;
- and
- transmit a downlink communication or receive an uplink communication having the first transport block applied to the data-aided DMRSs and the second transport block applied to the data symbols of the data channel.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting an indication that the UE supports communications having a first transport block applied to data-aided demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in which resources allocated for the data-aided DMRSs included modulated data and a second transport block applied to data symbols of a data channel;
- and
- transmitting an uplink communication or receiving a downlink communication having the first transport block applied to the data-aided DMRSs and the second transport block applied to the data symbols of the data channel.
A method of wireless communication performed by a base station, comprising:
- receiving an indication that a user equipment (UE) supports communications having a first transport block applied to data-aided demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) in which resources allocated for the data-aided DMRSs included modulated data and a second transport block applied to data symbols of a data channel;
- and
- transmitting a downlink communication or receiving an uplink communication having the first transport block applied to the data-aided DMRSs and the second transport block applied to the data symbols of the data channel.
