Abstract
One example discloses a near-field communications device, including: a near-field antenna; a conformal material having a first surface and a second surface; wherein the first surface is dielectrically coupled to the antenna; and wherein the second surface is configured to be galvanically coupled to a host-structure.
Claims18
A near-field communications device, comprising:
- a near-field antenna that includes a first conductive plate and a second conductive plate separated by and coupled to a non-conductive area;
- wherein the first and second conductive plates are configured to conduct near-field electric energy;
- a conformal material having a first surface and a second surface;
- wherein the second conductive plate and first surface of the conformal material are separated by and coupled to a rigid planar dielectric substrate;
- and
- wherein the second surface is configured to be galvanically coupled to a host-structure.
