Light emitting device

A light emitting device comprising:

• a substrate;
• a plurality of light sources arranged on the substrate, each of the light sources having a light emitting diode;
• a partitioning member including a plurality of wall portions defining a plurality of sections respectively surrounding at least one of the light sources, the wall portions including top portions;
• a light transmissive member arranged above the light sources;
• and
• a plurality of reflecting portions arranged on a lower surface of the light transmissive member so that the lower surface of the light transmissive member includes covered regions covered by the reflecting portions and exposed regions exposed from the reflecting portions to allow a part of light emitted from the light sources to enter the lower surface of the light transmissive member in the exposed regions without passing through the reflecting portions, each of the exposed regions being arranged between a corresponding one of the light sources and the wall portions surrounding the corresponding one of the light sources in a plan view, lower surfaces of the reflecting portions being positioned lower than apexes of the top portions of the wall portions of the partitioning member.
