Abstract
The present invention provides a technology that acquires a high resolution iris image more quickly than before. An iris capture apparatus according to one example embodiment of the present invention includes a rotatable movable mirror; a control unit that controls rotation of the movable mirror; a capture unit that captures different regions of a face of a user via the movable mirror and outputs a group of images every time the control unit rotates the movable mirror by a predetermined angle; and an iris image acquisition unit that acquires an image of an iris of the user from the group of images.
Claims9
An iris capture apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions are executable by the processor and are configured to cause the processor to:
- activate a light source;
- acquire multiple images of a user by rotating a rotatable movable mirror, using a motor, to change a capturing range of the user;
- determine an iris image of the user from the multiple images;
- recognize the user based on the iris image;
- recognize whether or not the user is allowed to pass through a gate based on the iris image;
- and
- repeatedly capture a space over a path along which the user moves to the gate until the iris image is successfully acquired,
- wherein the rotatable movable mirror is rotatable about a first axis.
A method of iris capturing comprising:
- activating, by a processor, a light source;
- acquiring, by the processor, multiple images of a user by rotating a rotatable movable mirror, using a motor, to change a capturing range of the user;
- determining, by the processor, an iris image of the user from the multiple images;
- recognizing, by the processor, the user based on the iris image;
- recognizing, by the processor, whether or not the user is allowed to pass through a gate based on the iris image;
- and
- repeatedly capturing, by the processor, a space over a path along which the user moves to the gate until the iris image is successfully acquired,
- wherein the rotatable movable mirror is rotatable about a first axis.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored therein a program that is executable by a processor to perform a method of iris capturing comprising:
- activating a light source;
- acquiring multiple images of a user by rotating a rotatable movable mirror, using a motor, to change a capturing range of the user;
- determining an iris image of the user from the multiple images;
- recognizing the user based on the iris image;
- recognizing whether or not the user is allowed to pass through a gate based on the iris image;
- and
- repeatedly capturing a space over a path along which the user moves to the gate until the iris image is successfully acquired,
- wherein the rotatable movable mirror is rotatable about a first axis.
