Abstract
A method of extracting high-frequency temporal information from images or video recorded with a rolling shutter-based imager includes the steps of acquiring image data using the rolling shutter-based imager; and extracting time-domain frequency information from the image data based on two or more lines of pixels in the image data.
Claims8
A method comprising:
- acquiring an image from images or video recorded with a rolling shutter-based imager;
- selecting a target region of the image, the target region comprising a first pixel row and a second pixel row;
- calculating a first row time value based on the first pixel row, a width of the image and a horizontal blanking interval;
- calculating a second row time value based on the second pixel row, the width of the image and the horizontal blanking interval;
- and
- extracting time-domain frequency information from the first pixel row and second pixel row based on the first and second row time values using a Lomb-Scargle algorithm.
