Abstract
Methods and apparatus related to determining points of interest based on content of one or more sources associated with a user. Relevance scores are determined for the points of interest based on additional information associated with the user and the content. Point of interest information that is related to the points of interest is provided based on the determined relevance scores.
Claims20
A method implemented by one or more processors, comprising:
- determining, based on stored data that is personal to a user:
- a first location having a first entity class, and
- a particular date and/or particular time that the user is expected to interact with the first location;
- determining, for the user, at least a first point of interest having a second entity class and a second point of interest also having the second entity class, wherein determining the first point of interest and the second point of interest comprises:
- determining the first point of interest and the second point of interest based on determining there is a mapping between the first entity class, corresponding to the first location, and the second entity class, corresponding to the first point of interest and the second point of interest,
- wherein the first point of interest is a physical location,
- wherein the second point of interest is an additional physical location, and
- wherein the first location does not have the second entity class, the first point of interest does not have the first entity class, and the second point of interest does not have the first entity class;
- causing the first point of interest and the second point of interest to be output, via a client device of the user, wherein causing the first point of interest and the second point of interest to be output is based on:
- a first distance between the first point of interest and the first location,
- a second distance between the second point of interest and the first location, and
- the particular date and/or the particular time that the user is expected to interact with the first location.

A system, comprising:
- at least one network interface;
- memory storing instructions;
- one or more processors configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory, wherein in executing the instructions the one or more processors are to:
- determine, based on stored data that is personal to a user:
- a first location having a first entity class, and
- a particular date and/or particular time that the user is expected to interact with the first location;
- determine, for the user, at least a first point of interest having a second entity class and a second point of interest also having the second entity class, wherein in determining the first point of interest and the second point of interest one or more of the processors are to:
- determine the first point of interest and the second point of interest based on determining there is a mapping between the first entity class, corresponding to the first location, and the second entity class, corresponding to the first point of interest and the second point of interest,
- wherein the first point of interest is a physical location,
- wherein the second point of interest is an additional physical location, and
- wherein the first location does not have the second entity class, the first point of interest does not have the first entity class, and the second point of interest does not have the first entity class;
- cause the first point of interest and the second point of interest to be output, via a client device of the user, wherein causing the first point of interest and the second point of interest to be output is based on:
- a first distance between the first point of interest and the first location,
- a second distance between the second point of interest and the first location, and
- the particular date and/or the particular time that the user is expected to interact with the first location.
