Abstract
A light transmitting panel assembly includes a first panel, a second panel, a frame, a gap between the first panel and the second panel, and a first active component located between the first panel and the second panel.

A light transmitting panel assembly, comprising:
- a first panel that is positioned adjacent to a first side of the assembly;
- a second panel that is positioned adjacent to an opposed second side of the assembly, the second panel includes a first transparent glass layer, a first active layer that is configured to change states between a translucent state and a reflective state, a second active layer that is configured to emit light, and a second transparent glass layer;
- and
- a frame that supports the first panel and the second panel,
- wherein the first panel and the second panel are separated from each other by a gap.

- a first panel that is positioned adjacent to a first side of the assembly;
- a second panel that is positioned adjacent to an opposed second side of the assembly;
- a spacer that is positioned between and abuts the first panel and the second panel, to separate the first panel from the second panel and define a gap between the first panel and the second panel;
