A golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein

• the paint film is formed from a paint containing a base resin and a silicon-containing filler,
• the paint film contains the silicon-containing filler,
• the silicon-containing filler is a porous filler,
• an amount of the silicon-containing filler ranges from 30 parts by mass to 200 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, and
• a paint film surface of the golf ball has a water contact angle A1 of 70° or more and a water sliding angle B1 of less than 50°.

A golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein

• the paint film is formed from a paint containing a base resin and a silicon-containing filler,
• the paint film contains the silicon-containing filler,
• the silicon-containing filler has a volume average particle size in a range from 0.5 μm to 30 μm,
• the silicon-containing filler has a bulk density in a range from 0.2 g/cm3 to 1.0 g/cm3, and
• a paint film surface of the golf ball has a water contact angle A1 of 70° or more and a water sliding angle B1 of less than 50°.
