A display device, comprising:

• a plurality of pixel units arranged in a matrix, each pixel unit of the plurality of pixel units including a light-emitting element having luminance changeable in accordance with a magnitude of a current and an input period of the current, and a pixel circuit configured to cause the light-emitting element to emit light with luminance corresponding to a gradation value obtained from an image signal,
• wherein the pixel circuit includes
• a first driver configured to drive the light-emitting element in response to the gradation value from the image signal being in a range of gradation values less than or equal to a first boundary value, and not to drive the light-emitting element in response to the gradation value from the image signal being in a range of gradation values greater than the first boundary value, and
• a second driver configured not to drive the light-emitting element in response to the gradation value from the image signal being in a range of gradation values less than or equal to a second boundary value that is less than the first boundary value, and to drive the light-emitting element in response to the gradation value from the image signal being in a range of gradation values greater than the second boundary value.
