Display method and electronic device

An electronic device, comprising a processor, a memory, and a computer program that is stored in the memory and capable of running on the processor, wherein the computer program, when being executed by the processor, implements the steps of:

• determining a current application scenario of fingerprint recognition in a case that an input of triggering display of a fingerprint icon is received;
• determining a target light spot based on a target parameter of the current application scenario, wherein the target parameter of the current application scenario is determined based on a required security level of the current application scenario and/or an occurrence frequency of the current application scenario, target light spots corresponding to different target parameters have different proportions for a red light component, a green light component and a blue light component, and the red light component, the green light component, and the blue light component are a brightness value of red light, a brightness value of blue light, and a brightness value of green light, respectively;
• and
• displaying a fingerprint icon formed by the target light spot.
