Abstract
A system for performing recursive online searches is configured to: (a) determine that a summary profile of a target entity includes at least one unpopulated field; (b) search at least one of a set of data sources to obtain one or more attributes for populating the at least one unpopulated field, the one or more attributes being information extracted from one or more peripheral entities associated with the target entity; (c) calculate, for each of the one or more attributes, a respective confidence score based at least in part on a set of factors, the set of factors including an activity level of the target entity; and (d) based on a respective confidence score being above a threshold, populate a respective unpopulated field with a respective one of the one or more attributes.
Claims18
A system for populating missing information based on second hand information, the system comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions such that when the instructions are executed by the processor, the system is configured to:
- determine that a summary profile of a target entity includes at least one unpopulated field;
- determine an activity level of the target entity;
- obtain an initial attribute representing information associated with the target entity;
- identify one or more peripheral entities based at least in part on the initial attribute;
- recursively search at least one of a set of data sources to obtain one or more attributes for populating the at least one unpopulated field, the one or more attributes being information extracted from the identified one or more peripheral entities associated with the target entity;
- continuously calculate, for each of the one or more attributes, a respective confidence score based at least in part on a set of factors to automatically update the respective confidence score during the recursive searching, the set of factors including the determined activity level of the target entity, wherein each confidence score is determined using an associative table that ranks associative pairs generated from the set of data sources and one or more fields of the summary profile;
- and
- based on a respective confidence score being above a threshold, populate a respective unpopulated field with a respective one of the one or more attributes.
A method for populating missing information based on second hand information, the method comprising:
- determining that a summary profile of a target entity includes at least one unpopulated field;
- determining an activity level of the target entity;
- obtaining an initial attribute representing information associated with the target entity;
- identifying one or more peripheral entities based at least in part on the initial attribute;
- recursively searching at least one of a set of data sources to obtain one or more attributes for populating the at least one unpopulated field, the one or more attributes being information extracted from the identified one or more peripheral entities associated with the target entity;
- continuously calculating, for each of the one or more attributes, a respective confidence score based at least in part on a set of factors to automatically update the respective confidence score during the recursive searching, the set of factors including the determined activity level of the target entity, and each confidence score is determined using an associative table that ranks associative pairs generated from the set of data sources and one or more fields of the summary profile;
- and
- based on a respective confidence score being above a threshold, populating a respective unpopulated field with a respective one of the one or more attributes.
