Abstract
A touch display device is disclosed. By making at least one of a thickness or an angle of inclination of an insulating layer disposed on an area where a touch routing line is disposed on a non-active area of a display panel and an area that lacks the touch routing line to be different from each other, a short circuit between touch routing lines due to a defect in a process arranging the touch routing lines can be reduced.
Claims23
A touch display device, comprising:
- a plurality of light-emitting elements on an active area of a display panel;
- an encapsulation layer on the plurality of light-emitting elements;
- a plurality of touch electrodes on the encapsulation layer;
- a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes, the plurality of touch routing lines extending to a pad area positioned outside of the encapsulation layer;
- a touch insulating layer under the plurality of touch routing lines;
- and
- a planarization layer under the touch insulating layer and extending to an area between the active area and the pad area,
- wherein an angle of inclination of a first side surface of the planarization layer that overlaps the plurality of touch routing lines and faces the pad area is less than an angle of inclination of a second side surface of the planarization layer that is non-overlapping with the plurality of touch routing lines.

A touch display device, comprising:
- a plurality of touch electrodes on an active area of a display panel;
- a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes, the plurality of touch routing lines extending to a pad area that is positioned outside of the active area;
- a plurality of display signal lines that extend to the pad area;
- and
- a planarization layer that overlaps at least some of the plurality of touch routing lines or at least some of the plurality of display signal lines outside of the active area, wherein an angle of inclination of a first side surface of the planarization layer that overlaps the plurality of touch routing lines and faces the pad area is less than an angle of inclination of a second side surface of the planarization layer that overlaps the plurality of display signal lines and faces the pad area.

A touch display device, comprising:
- a plurality of touch electrodes on an active area of a display panel;
- a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes, the plurality of touch routing lines extending to a pad area that is positioned outside of the active area;
- a plurality of display signal lines that extend to the pad area;
- a planarization layer that overlaps a touch routing line from the plurality of touch routing lines and a display signal line from the plurality of display signal lines;
- and
- a touch insulating layer between the planarization layer and the plurality of touch routing lines, the touch insulating layer including a first side surface that overlaps the touch routing line and a second side surface that overlaps the display signal line but not the touch routing line;
- wherein an area between the pad area and the first side surface of the touch insulating layer is greater than an area between the pad area and the second side surface of the touch insulating layer.
