Abstract
Embodiments described herein include a ground tobacco composition, wherein at least 90% by weight of the tobacco in the composition has a particle size in the range of about 200 μm to about 5 mm.

A method of preparing a tobacco extract from a ground tobacco composition, wherein at least 90% by weight of the tobacco in the composition has a particle size in the range of about 200 μm to about 5 mm, and wherein the ground tobacco composition is contacted with an extraction solvent comprising an aerosol generating agent selected from the group consisting of glycerol, propylene glycol, triacetin and isopropyl myristate.
