Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X03R605 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X03R605 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X03R605 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X03R605, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X03R605 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X03R605 and methods of using maize variety X03R605 are disclosed.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X03R605, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety 1PQLW02, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and 1PQLW02 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202004028 and 202205179, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X03R605 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety 1PQLW02, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and 1PQLW02 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202004028 and 202205179, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X03R605 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH48AR with a second plant of variety 1PQLW02, representative seed of the varieties PH48AR and 1PQLW02 having been deposited under NCMA Accession Numbers 202004028 and 202205179 respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH48AR and 1PQLW02 further comprises the locus conversion.
