Abstract
A barcode tag includes a base layer having a front side and a back side, an attachment surface disposed on at least a portion of the front side or the back side, and a barcode symbol comprising plural perforations formed entirely through the base layer. Methods and systems for tracking equipment items in an equipment rack using barcode tags are also disclosed.
Claims17
A barcode tag comprising:
- a base layer having a front side and a back side;
- an attachment surface disposed on at least a portion of the front side or the back side for attachment to an electronic equipment item;
- and
- a barcode symbol comprising plural perforations formed entirely through the base layer, said plural perforations providing for ventilation airflow for the electronic equipment item.
