Described are methods for the recovery of uranium from uranium hexafluoride dissolved directly into ionic liquids.
Claims12
A method for recovering uranium, comprising the reductive dissolution of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) directly an ionic liquid at concentrations greater than 0 M and less than or equal to 0.5 M;
- and applying a potential to the ionic liquid to deposit uranium onto an electrode as a metal.
