Claims10
A method comprising:
- inserting a piercing rod through a knee capsule, beneath a meniscus, and above a tibial plateau;
- advancing a reference guide attached to a drill guide over the piercing rod;
- such that the piercing rod is within the reference guide, wherein the drill guide defines an anchor placement location that has a predetermined offset from the piercing rod;
- and advancing a drill pin through the drill guide and drilling a hole into a joint structure at the defined anchor placement location.

A method comprising:
- inserting a piercing rod through a knee capsule, beneath a meniscus, and above a tibial plateau;
- advancing a reference guide attached to a drill guide over the piercing rod, wherein the drill guide defines an anchor placement location that has a predetermined offset from the piercing rod;
- and advancing a drill pin through the drill guide and drilling a hole into a joint structure at the defined anchor placement location, wherein an anchor at the anchor placement location can secure a knee joint capsule to the joint structure at a point of capsular disruption, the method further comprising:
- determining a distance of the point of capsular disruption from a position beneath the meniscus and above the tibial plateau;
- and adjusting a position of the reference guide relative to the drill guide based the determined distance.
