Abstract
An oral product includes a body that is wholly receivable in an oral cavity. The body includes a polymer matrix and one or more flavorants and/or active ingredients embedded in the polymer matrix. The polymer matrix can include a copolymer of ethylene and one or more vinyl monomers or zein. For example, the polymer can be ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. In some cases, the oral product can include tobacco and/or nicotine.

An oral product comprising:
- a mouth-stable polymer matrix including,
- an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer;
- an additive in the mouth-stable polymer matrix, the additive including,
- an active ingredient, the active ingredient including nicotine, at least a portion of the nicotine bound to vinyl acetate groups of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer;
- and
- celluloid fibers in mouth-stable polymer matrix, the celluloid fibers configured to provide passages to release the additive from the mouth-stable polymer matrix.

An oral product comprising:
- a mouth-stable polymer matrix including,
- an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer;
- an additive in the mouth-stable polymer matrix, the additive including a flavorant, an active ingredient, or both the flavorant and the active ingredient;
- and
- celluloid fibers in mouth-stable polymer matrix, the celluloid fibers configured to provide passages to release the additive from the mouth-stable polymer matrix, the celluloid fibers including CMC, HPMC, HPC, or any combination thereof.
