Abstract
A novel maize variety designated X13R120 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X13R120 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X13R120 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X13R120, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X13R120 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X13R120 and methods of using maize variety X13R120 are disclosed.
Claims20
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13R120produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH4CYJ with a second plant of variety PH41M2, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH4CYJ and PH41M2 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202212062 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813 respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X13R120 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH4CYJ with a second plant of variety PH41M2, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH4CYJ and PH41M2 have been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202212062 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X13R120 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH4CYJ with a second plant of variety PH41M2, representative seed of the varieties PH4CYJ and PH41M2 having been deposited under NCMA Accession Number 202212062 and ATCC Accession Number PTA-124813, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH4CYJ and PH41M2 further comprises the locus conversion.
